From a very early age children have the motivation to try anything and ability to absorb lots of information. You can be taking full advantage of this early engagement, helping them to develop skills for a lifetime in sport.
Failing to engage from a young age risks gaps in skill development, requiring catch up at a later stage. Ultimately this could result in a loss of participants due to lack of competence and confidence.
Children who are exposed to a multi-skills environment will have the ability to apply themselves as an all-rounded athlete within sport. A physically literate child is also more likely to re-engage in sport as an adult, providing the options are available.
