What is Physical Literacy at this stage?
Babies and toddlers need opportunities to move as much as possible. Having lots of fun developing their movement skills will also stimulate the brain and encourage interaction with those around them.
What can I do to play my part?
As leisure providers you have a unique opportunity to cater for baby and toddler groups. Parents/carers often seek out appropriate activities to engage in movement and play with their children and also to meet other parents. Linking with health professionals to offer activities such as mother and toddler classes, soft play and tots sessions can open up a new revenue stream and encourage families to access your facility. You could kick-start a lifetime of physical activity at your facility.
