What is Physical Literacy at this stage?
Children need to develop their basic physical skills during this age phase. The key is to develop a range of travelling movements, body management skills and ability to control objects such as beanbags, bats and balls.
What can I do to play my part?
As a Young Leader you could be helping small children to develop their skills and confidence. You could make sure that they have a great time taking part. By working alongside teachers, coaches you will get the chance to become a great role model.
The skills within this downloadable table should be developed at this stage. You may find the Play to Learn package useful in delivering to this age group. Play to Learn resources will help you deliver fun activities to the children.
Could you deliver fun, Play to Learn sessions in your school or community?
